Lest we forget

Now the fool is asking once again, is there still a possible safe choice to be made?

One answer might be to make sense out an attempt at allegory we need to look in a mirror. Though the names, faces and places are not factual, a careful glance behind us reveal characters, situations and events that are real.

Looking back, it’s clear that Stumpf became dictator of UDASS by merging the powers and offices of the Legislative and Executive branches of what had been the most promising form of fair and equitable government. By writing an executive order Stumpf confirmed himself as supreme leader of the UDASS. All powers were united in Stumpf’s person and his tweets trumped all laws. The government was no longer a coordinated, co-operating body, but a collection of factions struggling for power and Stumpf’s approval. In the midst of the chaos, the Whigs restored economic stability by scaring the hell out of the populace and ended mass unemployment using heavy military spending and a totally mixed up economy. Extensive infrastructure works were started, including the construction of bomb shelters, bridges and highways to facilitate the movement of troops and weapons. The return to economic stability boosted Stumpf’s popularity.

Racism, especially, Islamic Dread was a central feature of the regime. White people were considered by the Stumfers to be the purest branch of the human genome and were therefore viewed as the master race. Millions of Muslims, Mexicans and other peoples of color deemed undesirable were targeted by the state to be systematically excluded, deported or eliminated in order to insure uniformity and purification of the genome.

Mosques, Main-stream Christian Churches and any that were non-evangelical or not preaching White Supremacy were also oppressed, with many leaders imprisoned. Education or lack thereof focused on racial biology, population policy, and fitness for military service. Career and educational opportunities for women were drastically reduced or eliminated entirely.

Resistance to Stumpf’s tweeting was ruthlessly suppressed. Members of liberal, socialist and religious opposition were identified and scheduled to be eliminated, one way or another.

A planned program publicized as “Work Means Fun and Games” was set up under Recreation and Tourism. By hourly polemic tweeting, Stumpf used Professional Athletics to showcase the UDASS on the international stage.

Secretary of State Queeg made effective use of film, mass rallies and Stumpf’s hypnotic repetitive babble to influence public opinion. Stumpf controlled artistic expression, by promoting specific art forms and banning or discouraging others.

Beginning in 2016, the UDASS of Stumpf were increasingly aggressive with strategic pre-planned military maneuvers meant to bully and intimidate. Threatening mayhem and massive destruction if certain demands for a reduction in defensive moves and a guarantee of submission were not met, the only thing that had any promise of peaceful co-existence seemed to be another War to end all wars, that had been fought in 1914.
