This is a draft of a rewrite of the Trial Balloon
In what was once a galaxy of goodness and grace, the people decided to launch an experimental search and discover mission. Although it was not universally accepted, some believed that the truth about the relationship between rights and responsibilities might help them find and establish a more humane and equitable form of community. The chosen emissaries were a middle-aged Roman Catholic man and a middle-aged Orthodox Jewish American princess, living in the shadow of the Church of Latter Day Saints Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Booking a flight to Amsterdam, Netherlands, their first time chance meeting on the aircraft turns into a casual conversation that unravels and rewinds to become a shared lifetime of surprises, trauma, survival, retribution and redemption.
